Generic Savings Account

• The rate of interest payable is very nominal on saving accounts. At present it is between 3% to 5% p.a in Nigeria.
• A minimum amount has to be kept on saving account to keep it functioning(N500 for ARISE)
• No loan facility is provided against saving account.
• Cheques are not allowed on savings account for withdrawal except on some hybrid accounts.
